YOU WATCHED ME . You watched me as I read, then closed your Holy book, Laid it on the table, to give my emails a look. You watched me as I started on my merry way, When what you really wanted, was for me to stop and pray. ***************** It must have hurt you deeply when it seemed I didnt care, When other things were on my mind, while you were waiting there. You wanted me to open up the Bible one more time, And put to rest the thoughts that were flooding through my mind. ***************** You knew I needed strength for the cares of the day, You knew I wouldnt find it if I didnt look your way. You watched me as I slept throughout the night, And hoped for time together after mornings light. ****************** How much it must hurt you when we daily just rush through, That time that we need to grow closer to you. You opened heavens door to me, when I gave to you my heart, Youve always been so faithful Lord, why cant I do my part. ******************* You watch me as I struggle and become upset, When the things of this world seem to be a threat. We get so pre-occupied with things and stuff, And then we wonder why our life seems so tough. ****************** I know it makes you sad when I feel your not there, When troubles just keep coming and I feel that you dont care. My faith is what your looking for, you want me to believe, For in your word it promises that you will never leave. ***************** I always feel better Lord when at the start of each day, I give that time to Jesus in a real and special way. It really makes a difference when I take the time to pray, And ask for your protection to keep Satan away. *************** I know that its eternal things that should always be my choice, And put aside the others, so my heart can rejoice.
