YUKON saying hello two yrs later...Dad Mike from O.C. writes, Hello Rhonda, its been almost two years since Yukon came to live with me and he is doing very well. He is really good with small dogs even when being charged by a loose one. My brother had his Chihuahua here and they were rough housing until too tired. His best pal is Hazel, a German Shep. Her owner, when he saw me return from your place with Yukon, brought her right over. Sort of a bad start. Now best friends. Yes, it is cooler now. Thanks for all you do YUKONs Story: This one will be hard to forget. We originally had our name on him but the public adopted him. If you didnt know, rescuers have to wait after the public. When his adopters picked him up, I guess they reached their arm under his belly area to lift him up right ON TOP of his recent surgery and he did NOT react too positively.. That was it. They marched him right back inside and said, You keep him. Well, this did not look good on his report card. They isolated him in the no public area and deemed him rescue only. Luckily we found out because once a dog is adopted, we quickly move on to the next one, and next one etc. We pulled him to safety and discovered in our custody he was a WONDERFUL boy. Sadly though it took a really long time to place him. WHY? Bi-eyes.. We told adopter after adopter to pls meet him and give him a try, he has a wonderful personality.. Very sad, but not many wanted to even meet him one on one.. Thank goodness Mike O of O. C. came along and now adores our YUKON.. ,
