Yadah-Tv World Navi Northen Region Soccer League Launch programme Top 8 knockout tournament Yesterday Monday 9th September 2014 marked the launch of the Yadah-Tv and World Navi Northern Region Soccer League at Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries (PHD Ministries) premises in Waterfalls, Harare. Yadah-Tv with Prophet W. Magaya is sponsoring the newly introduced soccer league to the tune of USD30 000 in addition to the floating trophy among other accompanying perks. Also to note is that Prophet W. Magaya is also financing the Gunners Football Club (Now popularly known as Yadah Gunners) which is currently leading the World Navi Northern Region Division One championship race. To grace the occasion included the following: Prophet W. Magaya – Yadah-Tv representative Honorable Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Cde. Ziyambi Ziyambi - Guest of Honour Mr. Twine Phiri – President (PSL) Mr. Owen Chandamere – Chairman (ZIFA – Harare Province) Mr. Willard Manyengavana – Chairman (World Navi Northern Region Soccer League) Swin Mushonga – Secretary General (World Navi Northern Region Soccer League) Mariam Sibanda – Chairperson (Zimbabwe Women Football Association) Mr. Nelson Marimo - Yadah-Tv 2nd representative Board Members – Mr. Robert Manova - Mr. S. Nyachowe The guest of Honour to the occasion Honourable Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Cde. Ziyambi Ziyambi gave a short speech applauding the new move of sponsoring soccer. He pointed out that there are few corporates let alone individuals ready to sponsor soccer in Zimbabwe, therefore such a development came at the most appropriate moment. He also commended Prophet W. Magaya’s Yadah-Tv sponsorship towards the World Navi Northern Region Division Soccer League and as a fruitful venture. Honourable Deputy Minister acknowledged the positive effects this new development will bring right from the lowest soccer divisions in terms of football to international standards. He also said that soccer brings nations together. Mr. Willard Manyengavana – Chairman (World Navi Northern Region Soccer League) also added how pleasant it is to have church sponsorship in soccer because Gospel will be promoted and it will motivate players. To add on to that he said that it is unheard of to lose sleep in terms of soccer over countries like Tanzania and Botswana but it is happening because we are disregarding players in the lower leagues and divisions. He concluded by saying that the players will excel because of God Almighty’s anointing. To speak on behalf of Prophet W. Magaya (Before he arrived) was Mr. Nelson Marimo (PHD Ministries Finance and Admin Director) as the Yadah-Tv Representative. He said that this new development in soccer is a way to spread the Gospel and not necessarily affiliated to PHD Ministries but to the world over. He also underscored the humanitarian programmes being carried out by PHD Ministries through Prophet W. Magaya, meaning the soccer sponsorship is an addition to the list. Mr. Marimo concluded by saying that the soccer sponsorship programme marks the beginning of several ones to come and not the end. Prophet W. Magaya who joined in a little while later (due to very tight business schedules) started by highlighting the importance of identifying talent from the lowest level right from Primary School in order to come up with the best soccer players in Zimbabwe - Zimbabwean soccer has the propensity to rise again to greater heights. He reiterated the need to include lower divisions when identifying talent because that is where our national team is facing challenges – there is a lot of hidden untapped talent in the lower divisions of the football fraternity. Prophet W. Magaya also said that it is high time we place Zimbabwe on the world map through Yadah-Tv which is watched by over 142 nations. He went on to say few people outside Zimbabwe can associate Zimbabwe with international soccer, a situation which must change at the earliest convenience. Prophet W. Magaya added that we have to remove kids from the street by introducing them to fruitful ventures like football. He concluded by saying that the soccer fraternity is dominated by Satanic beliefs and the use of juju and other myths to succeed. However, it is high time we replace such methods, myths and beliefs with God Almighty’s anointing for us to succeed. The Yadah-Tv World Navi Northern Region Soccer League will comprise the following Northern Region Division One top 8 teams which will battle for the trophy and the accompanying whooping USD30 000: 1. Yadah Gunners FC 2. Flame Lily FC 3. Bindura United FC 4. Mushowani FC 5. Ngezi Platinum FC 6. Lake Harvest FC 7. Black Mambas FC 8. Starbill FC Signing of the launch were: Mr. Nelson Marimo - Yadah-Tv Represantive Mr. Cuthbert Chitima – Yadah-Tv Witness Mr. Willard Manyengavana - Chairman (World Navi Northern Region Soccer League) Mr. Martin Kweza – Vice Chairman (World Navi Northern Region Soccer League) The preliminary matches are kicking off this coming Saturday 13th September 2014 comprising 4 groups from the following top 8 Northen Region Division One teams: 1. Yadah Gunners FC vs Stanbill FC 2. Flame Lily FC vs Black Mambas FC 3. Bindura FC vs Ngezi Platinum FC 4.
