Yarmouth Town and County Photography Initiative Bill Curry Photography, Gerry Curry Photography and Gary Kent are teaming to sponsor a photography initiative for Yarmouth Town and County. We are looking for 40 images to include in a project, which will result in a 2 minute promotional video about Yarmouth Town and County, and will also be tied to a website where people can see each image, the creator and the time and place of the image creation. So, we are opening this up to anyone who has images that: a. Were taken within the last 2 to 3 years in either Yarmouth Town or Yarmouth County. b. Tell a story – in particular, why would someone want to come to Yarmouth town or county, what’s there to do here, whate here to see? c. Are of good artistic quality – i.e. well lit, well-composed and clear images. d. Are not overly post-processed – i.e. no HDR, no excessive retouching. The images must be: Your own image – you must be the creator of the image and it must be your original work. All entries remain the total property of the entrant; we simply reserve the right to use the image in our project, which will be described to each successful entrant. It will be a non-profit project and will not gain money directly for any entrant… or us. Of good artistic quality – we have a 3 person panel who will judge the entries, we reserve the right to use any entry, but do not guarantee inclusion in the project for any single entry. We will inform successful entrants of their inclusion in the project. We want to have good images, but will not be judging technical merit, instead we’re looking for those images that “speak” to people about what is Yarmouth. You may enter as many photographs as you like. The photo entry must be sent to the e-mail address below and be: a. an electronic image of 1000 pixels on the longest side b. in JPG format c. Named with artist and piece as a title – ALL ONE WORD, NO SPACES OR CHARACTERS: i.e. BillCurryLighthouse.jpg You should also send a description of where you took the picture and when, but this should be in the e-mail and NOT part of the name. d. MUST reach the e-mail ([email protected]) by NOON on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. We will be completing the project within a week or so after the deadline. e. Artist’s are responsible for obtaining a model release for any image that includes identifiable people. (If you are unsure of the format for a model release, just ask) All artists will be credited in the project, and the project will be made available to the successful artists free of charge.
