Yay! The bat is eating! I had a REALLY hard time getting him to eat. He was so lethargic and just kept closing his eyes no matter what I tried. I finally aggravated him enough to get just a bit of guts inside his mouth and he still went to sleep. I think he had given up and was waiting to die. But suddenly, his eyes popped open and he started licking and then chewing. This video was of his first full meal worm! As you can see, hes suddenly gotten the hang of it. He ate a total of 14 worms all bright eyed and enthusiastic (I cant describe the difference in his little attitude, but it was hard not to cry, just seeing the life in him reappear!), and then suddenly he couldnt keep his eyes open again......only THIS time, it was because his tummy was full and he needed a nap! This is a HUGE step forward. Hes not out of the woods yet......many things can still go wrong. But he wasnt going to go anywhere positive without food!!! So this was very important!
