Yay for Fitness Friday! Heres a fun fit power exercise to get the little ones in your life up and moving. I call it plank punches. It involves holding a plank while punching your arms forward one at a time. This exercise works the entire body with a major focus on the core. Also, it incorporates a balance component and really gets the heart pumping without having to jump around and getting all crazy . It can be done anywhere – no gym or gadgets required – and will make kids feel like a plank punching powerhouse! Make fit power moves like this a habit by incorporating them into multiple parts of the day: -A wake-up move before breakfast in the morning. -An energy-burning move when kids get restless during class. -An after-school move to get the blood pumping. -A wind-down move shortly before bedtime.
