Yeah, its not our anniversary yet, but were less than two weeks away. 12 years. A lot can happen in 12 years. You can become a completely different person, live a completely different life. I was working in a convenience store on the midnight shift, Amy was in college, and we were never having kids because doctors said so and I was renting an old trailer house from one of my best friends sisters. Well, we had kids. In fact, she got pregnant pretty much two months to the day we got married. Angelus, then Faith, then Harlow. Honestly never thought I would be raising kids, or have any business raising kids, much less a severely disabled one. We have laughed, we have cried, we have been tested and we have agreed to disagree, but we have stayed together...not because we felt like we had to, but because we have wanted to. My wife is an amazing, magnificent woman, wife and mother and I have been spending the last 12 years just trying to keep her from realizing she could do better than me. I did not imagine that people like her even existed, and could never have hoped to be sharing my life with a woman like this. 12 years. A lot can happen in 12 years. You can become a completely different person, live a completely different life. My life is so much fuller and happier in the last 12 years than it was at any time before, and its because she inspired me to try harder and do more. And you know what? Still just as beautiful as when we go married. Hell, Ive gotten better looking, too. ;)
