Yes... Our reality is denied and so are our dreams. If not playing by the rules we are dismissed as tho yesterdays garbage. It can only be likened to emotional annihilation. To a child nothing short of spiritual death. If unable to count on ones parent unable to survive. Our parents providing everything necessary for a childs survival. Now imagine being two, three, or four years old. Yes, a cold mother and enraged father having the ability to all but destroy a child emotionally. And only the shell of an individual remaining. The tough part is even tho terribly painful to the individual they will often grow up to behave in the same manner and see anything in the way of vulnerability, kindness, or gentleness as the way of the weak. Yes... Anything sensitive having been stomped out of them by their family....
