Yesterday I was stuck in non moving traffic on the Commercial Road and the East India Dock Road, trying to get to the Blackwall Tunnel. Traffic light failures in East London and around the Blackwall Tunnel caused motorists to travel 2 miles in 90 minutes, after which I turned round, drove back and crossed the Thames at Tower Bridge. This added two hours to what should have been a two hour journey. It was 7pm before I hit the open road and picked up speed. Ironic that those hardly used bus lanes also permitted motorists to use them after 7pm. Too little too late. So.... cancel bus lanes, end the war on motorists and return driving to the free for all it once was!
