Yesterday, I woke with the intention to move my body and my mind - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, I woke with the intention to move my body and my mind and unexpectedly moved my soul as well. I hiked half a mountain as planned, but then took refuge in the woods to sit with the trees, my breath, my thoughts... I gave myself time told only by the sun, and things started unfolding as if it was predisposed to do so right then. I cleaned out the cobwebbed corners and scribbled down the last of their existence. I broke down boxes and stacked them neatly out of the way so that they can easily disappear into the void; I have long outgrown their faux protection and suffocating confinement! I need room to breathe freely and dance wildly and BE! And in creating a new space to move in to, this stunning passage fell in to my lap for the first time, as timely as ever: “There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. --Martha Graham In the new space, with the channel open and gratitude flowing out, I explore and create and share this eternal dance (of both hoop and life), this spontaneous movement of pure expression that allows me to BE precisely in the present moment. I am alive and this is how I feel alive! What does your expression look like today? What makes you feel alive? Share it with someone! :) Happy October!
