Yesterday afternoon as I was playing my favorite computer card - TopicsExpress

Yesterday afternoon as I was playing my favorite computer card game, I noticed an ad concerning insurance. In particular, life insurance. The ad said...Sleep in peace., then proceeded to give the rates. The lowest rate was $21.00 per month. Doesnt sound like much, but when you do the math, that adds up to a hefty sum of money over a period of time. All just to sleep in peace! Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with having insurance...in fact, we cant live without it (nor can some of us afford to live with it)! But does having insurance really allow one to sleep in peace? The reality is we are still going to toss and turn all night long, because that $21.00 is now added to all the other bills and the bills just keep stacking up. I know...Steve & I are no different than any of you. Well, maybe there is a bit of a difference. When our heads hit the pillow...we are out like a light without the on switch. Curled up in each others arms and drifting right off to sleep has nothing to do with our age, insurance or medication. It has everything to do with our peace of mind. Our marriage is based on the leadership of God as the head of the household. Yes I love Steve with all my heart and he loves me with all his heart. However, Steve is not 1st in my life, nor am I first in his. God is #1 and all else takes place beneath God. We consult God and each other in all decisions we make. We openly and privately pray to God...whether thanking God for the food we are about to eat or for the health of a family member or friend. Peace comes from having God as an active part of ones life, not purchasing life insurance. Two thousand + years ago, a little baby was born. They called Him, Jesus. Kings and shepherds worshiped Him. Still today, it is the most recognizable name in the world. Still today, He is the only one that offers free life insurance...for all eternity. Its free because He has already paid the cost-on a hill called Calvary. Steve and I have bills, aches, pains, stormy days and sunshiny days...but at night, we sleep in heavenly peace....wrapped in the arms of God. Only with God is there real peace-and dont forget, its already paid for. You just have to ask Him for it...no forms to fill out, no quotes to compare...just a simple request-God forgive me of my sins. I know that you are the son of the one, true living God. I want to have you in my heart. I want the peace of eternal life. When the day has ended...sleep in peace.
