Yesterday, an alert citizen noticed something that seemed odd. The citizen had seen our warnings on a recent news interview about packages being stolen from front porches immediately after being delivered. He was able to flag down a detective that was patrolling the area and point out a vehicle that seemed suspicious to him. Our detective and patrol deputies then made contact with the two male occupants of the suspicious vehicle, a delivery driver, and a nearby resident. It was discovered that the residents credit card had been recently stolen and used to purchase thousands of dollars in items that were now being delivered to their address. The occupants of the suspicious vehicle had then shown up to pick up the packages, without the residents knowledge. Thanks to the watchful eyes of our citizens, we were able to foil their plan! The two males were taken into custody and are facing charges!
