Yesterday as I went into Day break, mouth open Barnesville Estate Community to escort a police officer to an ETU (Ebola Treatment Unit), I noticed something very important. This virus which has come upon our nation needs to be seen as a direct threat to each person. What do I mean by this? We as a people needs to look away from getting or waiting on national government to bring the all the solutions required to stop the transmission of EVD. This is what I observed, That communities have taken upon themselves the task of keeping suspected neighbors within their homes and not allowing those persons to leave their homes. I also saw that the community was taken food to them and water supply. I saw this and this is our first line of cutting the transmission. If you have family out here or live here let spread this out there. We as human being must find a way to survive this by our individual selves. While national and international help is coming let them meet us alive! Our friends in the media this effort needs to be spread nationally and even modify by experience health workers by added what medication to take etc. Other household members can use regular plastic bags as gloves and shoe covers to handle the sick. Place the sick in a separate part of the house. The room where the sick was when discovered, all garments or sleeping material taken in the yard a burn. Let us not wait on government! Let take this on as this is a race of our lives.
