Yesterday, at 4:44 in the afternoon, my mom... ever the fighter... took her last breathe surrounded by family and friends. Only my mother could build such a unique life where truly every aspect of it was there to tell her its ok, from her best friend since she was 12, her god daughter, my father and my step father, her mother, her son-in-law, and of course Alex and I. My mom was a brave woman, never wavering on her second battle with the horrible, horrible disease that is cancer, a disease that has taken too many loved ones too soon. She held her head high and had us laughing to the end. Mom, I promise always to make you proud. Thank you everyone for your support and reaching out like you have. Cant even begin to tell you what it means to my family and I. Were not alone in this world. Of course my mom requested to not have a funeral, she wouldnt like all that attention and sadness. That said, she didnt raise a daughter that loves throwing parties for nothing. In the next couple weeks Ill be putting together a celebration for her life, and will keep you all posted through this silly (but useful) platform called Facebook. Cant wait to share/hear stories of my incredible mama. Love you all
