Yesterday during my weekly discourse on Sri Ramakrishna Vachanamrita , I explained why Shri Ramakrishna Dev said that ultimately everything happens by the will of the Divine, we do not have freedom of will, but still we feel we have independent will, that feeling also has been kept by God, otherwise we shall take the credit of good actions ourselves and the responsibility of evil we shall transfer to God as in the case of the story of the gardener and Indra,.the gardener killed the cow and then held Indra the god of hands responsible for the murder of cow.As long as our devotion and faith have not matured and we feel, we are the doers, we should go on doing good and refrain from evil.
