Yesterday morning I drove Zach in for his carpool so he could take some of his finals and finishing up on his 1st as a sophomore. I have to tell you I miss our old normal. For those of you who know me, you know I do not love getting up in the morning, but I miss that M-F this is what Zach did. Friday morning was extra beautiful driving back home, the sun coming up over the horizon, the frost on the trees, and the eagles in their nest. Gods beauty shining through! Thursday was graduation day from radiation. For now this means no daily trips to the hospital, chemo will continue through the 26th. The staff in radiation are amazing, from the receptionists, to the nurses, techs and Dr.s. I cant thank you enough for how wonderful you are. He left that day with another radiation mask, and his award for Courage and Strength. Zachs(along with his sisters) strength through all of this has been amazing, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I believe his strength is a gift from our Father. As I mentioned above, chemo will end on the 26th and his body will have about a 2 week break for recovery. A new round of chemo will start at that time, we will learn more about it on Mondays appointment. For now though, we will enjoy our weekend together as a family.
