Yesterday my Old testament professor showed a video of a guy levitating and asked if we believed it or not. And I said I thought it kind of cheapened the religious experience. Some of my classmates found my commit a little off-putting --understandably. I was frustrated because I could never fully communicate what I meant. Sure the guy can levitate but can he love his enemy? the real miracle to me was not that Jesus walked on water-I dont believe I have to believe that he did-- It was that he said, father forgive them for they know not what they do. That was a miracle. So when I look around today and I see David Blaine doing tricks I am not impressed. But when I see a kid with cancer selling lemonade to raise money to help other kids I see a miracle.
