Yesterday the Masterson Equestrian Trust dedicated a wonderful tribute to my Christine Comella Brown under glorious skies in a setting she so loved throughout her riding career. The thoughtfulness of a bench at the dressage rings where she schooled, taught, and competed for many years adorned with trees has created a most comforting space in her memory. I cant begin to express my appreciation for the warm thoughts and efforts by so many touched in numerous ways by Christine that make these opportunities possible for us to remember her vibrant spirit and wonderful approach to daily life. It never ceases to amazes the depth of her impact on the people, horses, dogs, etc. that she had with seemingly endless acts of random kindness. I so enjoyed the stories shared by those who gathered there yesterday to laugh and cry about times spent together with her in that special setting. Much thanks to Georgia Ockerman and Sally Lockhart for their roles in making yesterday a reality and to MET for nurturing this special effort for my special girl.
