Yesterday, under a sunny sky, we laid my mom to rest. A woman of intelligence, courage and strength, she delighted in loving her family and friends with all her heart. She was generous with her time, talents and worldly goods. Although my heart is ripped apart again, through the ache and tears I feel deep peace and gratitude. How can it be that I have lost these three incredible people in the last 17 months? The more important question is: Why am I so blessed to have had them in my life at all? Mel, Scott and Mom, I miss you so much. But you have loved me so completely, I am, and will always be, deeply happy.
