Yesterday was International Girls in ICT Day, an initiative of the ITU. Many Caribbean countries took part, including Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, St. Vincent, and Suriname. Activities centered around encouraging girls ten and up to interact with professionals in the world of ICT so that they can learn about the possibilities and potential. I took part in the Montserrat event, organized by Nerissa Golden, and tried to inspire some young people to learn to code.
