Yesterday was a bit of an off day. Meg was starting to go bad Thursday afternoon, coughing a bit and struggling. She was bad throughout Thursday night and didnt manage to pull off one of her magic recoveries by Friday morning. We were seen by a new speech and language therapist who we relayed our worries over Meg aspirating to. She saw her drinking her milk and all was going well until COUGH CHOKE GAG that was the sign it had gone down the wrong way. The therapist said she was worried and talk turned to the possibility of having to put a feeding tube back in. A big step back. Meg loves her milk Im not even sure that would be acceptable to her. ..shes quite opinionated these days when it comes to her milk needs! Well, by lunchtime Id been called to see her consultant on Tuesday so it must be bad. At least the rest of the day was better; we had our first session at the amazing Tots Rock group...Meg loved the buzz and excitement, she was sat in her chair like a queen whilst the other children danced around her then Oliver had his first swimming lesson and the lovely Childrens centre staff sat with Meg so I could take him in. After his ten sessions itll be Megs turn and hopefully shell be a bit bigger and a bit stronger especially as physio is starting up again soon.
