Yesterday was a historic day for India in terms of science & technology. It was a major boost for our scientific community & i am sure we will be seeing an increase of the lot in the days to come. Now like always with all achievements come criticism from certain quarters. I came across certain people criticizing the MOM saying it is loot of taxpayers money & so on. I want to enlighten this people that loot is such a pathetic word in this context. Loot is actually the n no of scams we have witnessed & yet nothing was done about it. MOM in no means can be compared to this. Further if ppl believe its a waste of money then the whole organisation of ISRO doesnt make any sense in our country. Scientists who have slogged their life for this have no meaning. The tremendous amount of exposure India has got in the international community makes no sense for this people. A school going kids inspiration of becoming a scientist seeing ydays success is irrelevant for this section. A lot of young enthusiasts have made some role models yday & if atleast one of them aspires to become a gr8 scientist in the future i would say this $75 million was worth every penny keeping aside the fact that MOM will already be helping in lot of scientific studies in the coming days. Kudos to ISRO & our scientific community.
