Yesterday we finally had a backyard fence installed after many, many much needed years of terrorizing the neighborhood by our animals. When the grand-dogs are over we have a pack of 5 dogs, with two brain cells in total, for the lot of them. ALL are harmless, yet seem to take on the aura of Cujo when they amass. Its funny, yesterday when the fence installers were pulling away after the completion of the job, I saw the neighbors lined up along the curb, as though a parade were passing, standing, clapping and waving to the fence guys. I saw my neighbors cheering and back slapping amongst themselves with delight of which I have never seen before. Hmmm...I didnt realize my neighbors could show that much exuberance as they have always greeted us with sour expressions and death stares. There is nothing like living up to expectations as we always seem to be that house ...air quotes....in the neighborhood. Oh well....maybe its time I start that junked car/discarded toilet salvage company Ive always dreamed of.
