Yesterday we posted the first page of the FY 2015 Funding per ADM. The schools and their funding are listed from highest funded to lowest funded. Gary Middle College, a charter school, tops the list at $8,611.71 per pupil! In fact, of the 46 top-funded schools/corporations in Indiana, 34 of them are charter schools. Are tax-payers getting their monies worth with these highly funded charter schools? A quick look at the IDOE website shows this of the 34 charter schools: 2 received an A (3, counting Flanner House, closed for cheating) 0 received a B 5 received a C 8 received a D 10 FAILED 5 are no longer on the IDOE website (took the $ and boogied?) 1 (shows N/A, possibly meaning it is too new to be graded) 1 is on IDOE web site, but not on A-F page These schools are getting more, and in many cases, FAR MORE or your money than almost all of our traditional public schools. These schools represent millions of dollars that could be going to our struggling public schools. WHY? Please help stop this...please VOTE!
