Yesterday we said good bye once more, to Polo Legend and our friend Carlos Gracida. For quite a few years Tom Barrack has been responsible for bringing Carlos and Memo Gracida to the Santa Ynez Valley to play polo. Yesterday Tom hosted a beautiful Celebration of Life at his ranch Neverland. This place was Michael Jacksons Hideaway for years. Such a beautiful and tranquil setting for Carloss closest family and West Coast friends to pay their respect. Friends and family got up and spoke about their memories of Carlos. Joel and I both said a few words. I almost made it without crying. Afterwards we all went to Michael Jacksons private movie theater to watch a slide show of Carlos. Another emotional, but beautiful day. It seemed so surreal. Having been a fan of Michael Jacksons music for years, it brought back memories of both him and Carlos.
