Yesterday we traveled to Shreveport for the IRMAA (International Realistic Martial Arts Association) seminar and black belt ceremony. There Sensei Jeff Fontenot was promoted to Black Belt (his 3rd in deferent styles) and I was promoted to 2nd Degree (my third also). This style is in KaJuKenBo. I would love to thank Janual Owen Shadoin, Sigung Jeff Shadoin, Grand Master Jay Vera and Grand Master Dan Baker. Pictures are of us all together, the wall of honor, the family tree, and us receiving promotions. Dustin Williamson joined us on the trip. He along with others in the school are training for their black belts next year. The blonde young lady is Malerie Sessum of Jan and Jeffs school studying to receive her black belt in our style American Freestyle. She also holds a 3rd degree in Taekwondo. We also received a plaque during the ceremony. It is a great honor to be a part of such a great style, family and style of martial artist. I am humbled. God is great and he is not dead. Watched the movie at 1am when we got back.
