Yesterdays reunion with BubbaLi. He hasnt quite smiling or checking on her. Lots of couch snuggling last night. To answer questions, no, at this point she can not walk unassisted on the FHO. We use a sling till her cart comes in. That back leg has lost almost all the muscle mass she went in with and remember theres no hip joint, unlike a dog with another back leg shes totally dependent on this leg. With her cart, strength and balance training she may learn to walk again. There are times she does plant the foot correctly and will use it to propel forward. Time and patience will tell, and her will is 200%, so Id never say never, its just going to be a long journey. Thanks for all the love, healing wishes and prayers, the one thing we know, shes not in constant pain anymore, nor will she ever be. Her hip eroding was thecwholevporposecof this surgery, and regardless of how she walks, that joint pain she will be free from.
