Yet again all the emphasis in promoting this app is on its tracking function - please at least put some warnings with your marketing that GSM or a smartphone platform is NOT a reliable/dependable form of tracking in coastal/offshore areas. If people do not have to carry AIS or other forms of approved marine safety equipment then they should be encouraged to do so voluntarily rather than be reliant on a smartphone and GSM communications to help save their lives if all goes wrong. The Irish Coast Guard should ensure that there are user warnings clearly displayed with this app and that people are encouraged to use approved safety equipment instead. - USE THIS APP WITH CAUTION
