Yet another possible side benefit of going vegan: Many years ago, I was called for jury duty and when they were selecting the jury, the defense lawyer asked if anyone had any negative attitudes about the fast food industry. It turns out that the plaintiff was assaulted in a McDonalds parking lot and so he was suing the franchise for not having adequate lights and cameras in the parking lot. Anyway, when the attorney asked if anyone from the jury pool had a negative attitude about fast food, I was able to raise my hand, and when asked I was asked why, I just said, Im vegan. I did not make the cut. Anyway, Im not making any promises and there are billions of better reasons to go vegan but if you can get out of jury duty, hey, thats worth it in and of itself, right?
