There is no way that the ‘you clearly don’t know what you’re doing’ Obama administration really expects this to be okay with the American people. Prepare yourself… No, really, prepare yourself, because you are about to read one of the stupidest things I have ever written, because I feel as though I am legitimately lying to you: The IRS official that oversaw the agency’s tax-exempt office, Lois Lerner, will exercise her use of the Constitution’s Fifth Amendment and decline to answer any questions when she appears before Congress tomorrow. Hmm. Isn’t it great how those in control can just use the Constitution as they please so long as it fits their agenda? The Second Amendment is so outdated, so we should probably switch that up a little bit, and the First Amendment obviously doesn’t protect the AP or Fox News reporters that were spied on, but hey, the Fifth Amendment works just fine! Awfully convenient, right? This, via USA Today… “She has not committed any crime or made any misrepresentation, but under the circumstances, she has no choice but to take this course [of pleading the fifth],” attorney William Taylor wrote Monday. He asked that his client be excused from appearing at the hearing chaired by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif. “Ms. Lerner remains under subpoena from Chairman Issa to appear at tomorrow’s hearing,” committee spokesman Ali Ahmad said. “Chairman Issa remains hopeful that she will ultimately decide to testify tomorrow about her knowledge of outrageous IRS targeting of Americans for their political beliefs.” Lois Lerner was the IRS official that created a cute little “be on the lookout” list for tax-exempt applications from groups using horribly racist and tyrannical terms like “Tea Party,” “Patriot,” or “9/12 Project.” As USA Today found in their review, “those applications were held up for more than a year while applications from liberal groups requesting similar status were routinely approved.” Oh, but don’t worry, Lerner tried to correct her mistake by changing the criteria to include groups “critical of how the country is being run.” The Obama administration has continually danced between the raindrops of blame, but this is getting ridiculous, and someone needs to either be fired or removed from office …and not some acting commissioner that was already on his way out within the next few weeks. This is exactly my problem with President Obama and his laughable administration. Do I think Obama personally told someone in the IRS to target Tea Party groups? I have no idea, but he’s the boss, and leaders either take responsibility or they display leadership qualities and find out who is responsible. Whether it’s been the lack of progress in improving unemployment after not meeting with and finally dissolving the jobs council he never met with, the inability to lower the deficit and national debt, a plethora of broken promises made during Obama’s never-ending campaign, failed investments like Solyndra and Fisker, dead service members in Benghazi, spying on AP and Fox News reporters, or the IRS targeting groups “critical of how the country is being run,” it has never once been the fault of Obama or anyone tied to him even though he is the one in charge. Forget my difference in opinion on policies, the man Barack Obama just seems like such a weak man, especially after all of this. If you agree with me, please SHARE this article. Who knows, you just may change someone’s mind… Her Lawyer sent word to the independent investigation committee that his client was going to plead the fifth. The Congressional Head of the committee said she is still going to be subpoenaed. Why does she have to attend, she is going to plead the fifth, this will only humiliate and embarrass her. She is still being subpoenaed. This is by no means an admission of guilt or culpability on her part. She is still being subpoenaed and required to testify before this committee. Now this is some sort of BS. The fifth amendment guards against self incrimination. Therefore (not a real stretch here) she must be guilty of some part in this. I mean she is in charge of the department of the IRS that grants the Tax Exempt Status! She doesn’t know what’s going on in her own department? Apparently this country is on auto pilot. No one knows anything about anything and no one is in charge. When Nixon was about to be impeached, and he was going to be, he resigned. His impeachment proceedings were about the cover up of the Watergate Break in, not the break in itself. This administration is playing CYA so fast that it would make a NY city 3 card monte dealer proud. There are so many scandals going on it’s hard to pick which one to use for the impeachment. Let’s see,we have; Fast and Furious, (nice gun running scheme), The Benghazi Terrorist attack, The IRS scandals (Still being uncovered), and then we have the DOJ looking for subversives in the AP and it seems Fox News too. These are our leaders? This is our President, leader of the free world and the most powerful country on the planet? We need a do over. empty out Washington and start anew with fresh faces and people with principles. Obviously there are very few there now. James Tuttle
