You can’t call yourself a true american and not exercise your right to petition the government and protest their unjust practices. The civil rights struggle was not won in the voting booth it was won in the street. They marched, they joined in solidarity, they participated in acts of non violent civil disobedience, they went to jail, they organized for justice! For civil rights! Women didn’t vote for the right to vote! They Marched, they sat in, they held vigils, they went to jail, they hunger struck… Future generations depend on what we do or don’t do here today. A citizen cannot sit idly by and just hope that their government does the right thing for them. A grave injustice is being committed here! You have to get out there and make them do the right thing! We out number them! Start acting like it!
