You have 5 days to set some goals for 2015. I will ask you for them in 2-3 days. Read the post below to get it right! The video below is from 2006. The quality isnt great but the content is ok. Britains Strongest Man 105kg 2006. I was a late entrant as a reserve place. I was also one of the lightest men there. No one really new me and I had no great expectations (which is a complete lie!!!). It was a big field of some 19 competitors including past champions. 2 Time Britains Strongest Man and 5 Worlds Strongest Man Laurence Shahlaei was there to cheer me on with Mike Betty, Steve Gardener and Harry Shahlaei. I guess you guys would call this old school! I started well coming 3rd in the Squat with 16 reps (220kg squat machine). The Log press I was mid to low in the field. Never a good event for me. The Deadlift I was mid to upper. The my 3 best events came up. The Conans Wheel, the Farmers Hold and Atlas Stones up to I believe 170kg. Well I blitzed those events and won by loading the last stone fastest! It was a shock to everyone including me. Amazing what you can do when you dont know how good or bad you are! However, I am not posting this to boast or brag (although it was and is pretty cool and Im very proud of that win). I am posting it because this was the culmination of YEARS of training and just doing my thing. No YouTube, No FB no NOTHING. I just trained and LOVED IT! And it paid off. Dont train for glory or for trophies...train because YOU LOVE IT! The rest is gravy. Nick
