You know... I am going to share a few things tonight. In 2003, I enlisted into the military, all I ever wanted to be was a soldier. I had a son die same year, several months before shipping to boot amp actually. Being 19, losing a child and dealing with an overwhelming amount of grief I had never experienced before, it had a direct reflection of my military career to a point where I was chaptered out. I have experienced many many unfortunate things since then that are hard for anyone to handle no matter your age or strength. One thing I have had to listen to, no you are not good enough, no, you can not do this or no you can not do that bc of your discharge. I have experienced let down after let down and I have attacked life with a smile. Sometimes, I break, and sometimes I fall, but for once, I would like life to take me by the hand instead of the opposite and say yes, you have exactly what it takes to become great. With god at my front, Jesus behind me whispering in my ear youre doing great and my family at my side, it will happen one of these days.... Or so I hope...
