You know, I see this a lot, but there are two huge problems: 1. How the hell would one transmit that power to the entire world? Do people who make these posts have any idea how expensive long-distance transmission lines are—to say nothing about running them underwater? 2. If were talking the Sahara, sandstorms + glass-covered solar panels = frosted glass + little power. Theyd have to be made of sapphire glass (or something similar) to withstand that, which would be approximately 10 gazillion dollars. Look, Id love to see something like this, but as long as humanity doesnt work together and is driven by money, I dont see it happening.
