You know how when your computer stops working a simple shutting off and on sometimes magically reboots it? Im going to try the same concept with my life. After a rough few weeks, I am not going to go completely off the grid but Im going to put most of my lifes distractions on a shelf where they are hard to reach for the month of April. My visits to social media...all of it...will be limited to once a day. Im going to finish this round of online games but will take a break for a bit. Im limiting work to Monday thru Friday 9 to 5 unless work travel is over a weekend. After 5 Im shutting my cell off and turning it off weekends completely. I have to fix some health issues ( starting physical therapy again), concentrating on diet and physical issues, concentrating on the course in Literary Criticism Ive embarked upon, and needing to divorce some disappointing friends who are mostly acquaintances. I want none of this to sound negative, it is just the opposite: the great teachers remind us to take care of ourselves first but so many of us are so bad about doing that. People who know me well know I give gladly, I just need to take for myself for a while. I urge anyone feeling beaten up by the tough winter to consider doing the same.
