You know, it breaks my heart when I see young people - especially women giving their lives away when they can just attend our womens sessions and be empowered. I love the part when women stand up and introduce themselves; I am Kabelo, an Accounting graduate from the University of Johannesburg. I am Khutso, an Accounting graduate from the University of South Africa and now a Communication Science student, working for the Department of... I am Martha, I am not an academic but I have started a small company and am here to network with other women. I love this part - it makes you see what other women are doing out there when you are stalking an ex boyfriend or watching the repeat of Generations, forgetting that those people are being paid while you are only watching. We need to see where we are in life. We need to get up, show up and be counted. We need to attend womens sessions - regularly. I have a friend of mine who is now a single parent. I love her strength. She doesnt behave like she is the first single parent on earth. She was used to waiting for the baby daddy to come home, things didnt work out. She didnt lock herself in the room. You know what she does now? She got a job, looked for a nanny and now an honors student. She is STILL STANDING, against all odds.
