You know those asshole drivers who speed around and do burnouts, racing people to a red light who arent even aware theyre meant to be competing so that they can feel like theyve won something to give themselves a temporary wave of delusional self esteem? These are the people who will suffer the most as a result of hidden speed cameras. If you dont want to suffer, ease on the brake. They havent changed the law, just the likelihood that youll get busted for breaking it. Always perplexed me how butthurt people get over cops trying to stop them from breaking speed limits, speed limits designed to give you enough time to react and brake safely in case a child or an animal jumps out in front of you. Youre not a rally driver, youre someone trying to get from A to B. Obviously this will result in more money for an indebted government, and obviously the cash was a large motivator in this decision, but that doesnt make anything Ive said less true.
