You learn something new everyday!! I tried to make cornbread (patties) tonight and couldnt figure out what was going wrong! So I call Granny ( Fannie Ford ) back to tell her she must have left something out when she told me how to cook it, because they were VERY flat and rubbery! She says look at your bag of corn meal does it say self rising? .......are you kidding me!!!!! I thought corn meal was corn meal I didnt know it was like flour with its all purpose and self rising! So Im pretty devastated that Im not eating cornbread and milk right now.....but at least I learned something!
