You love chili. Nothing warms your heart faster than a good - TopicsExpress

You love chili. Nothing warms your heart faster than a good five-alarm bowl of tender meat blended with tasty beans on a cold autumn night while your favorite horde of burly men toss, kick, bat, or lob some form of ball around variously shaped fields of play. You, therefore, need to make my chili. Several years ago, I curated a stupendously gargantuan list of ingredients in search of an ideal chili. I wanted to enter a chili cook-off, and I had an aim to win. So, I surfed, browsed, researched, sniffed various spices, and imagined the end-result. I couldn’t make up my mind on a few things, so I decided to just leave them in to see what happened. The result was a chili like none other I’ve ever had. I was so blown away by the final flavor I gave the recipe away and shared it with the world. Naturally, the chili took the prize, and subsequent prizes, too. In the years since, my old coworker, Valerie Broucek has made this chili as an annual exercise in team-building. I think. (At least, she says it takes an apartment full of friends to prepare it, then eagerly consume it.) Another coworker, Clay Anderson, has tweaked a few ingredients, but has proudly reported great success with the chili. The only problem is that it requires a lot of time to prep, and if you don’t have everything on hand, it can be expensive. But it’s worth it. I just found a write-up of the recipe, you can follow it here. brobible/lifestyle/food/article/make-37-ingredient-mamma-slappin-chili/ And here’s my original post: tatumweb/blog/2005/11/08/good-chili/
