You may have noticed from a couple of my posts that ive made during this pages history, that Im a huge anti-bullying campaigner as well as an ambassador in raising awareness of childhood cancer. Some people these days just dont know the difference between laughing with someone and laughing at someone. As we grow we lose friends to poor decisions, we hurt people with no intention of causing pain, we do things to try too get ahead, we all make mistakes. Making a mistake is how we learn, how we grow, how we become the better person we hope to be. Making that mistake teaches us the difference between wrong and right and how much we can lose because of it. But the difference between making a mistake and learning from it; and making a mistake and continuing to make it, is huge, enormous in fact. Its bullying in most circumstances. Hurting someone on purpose, causing physical pain and mental abuse is something so dangerous in todays society. Something that is causing kids of this generation at yours and my age and even many years younger to take their lives because they cant deal with the pain, the hurt. Please, please if you see someone being bullied; Dont shy away, dont be scared about standing up for them. By standing up for that one kid, that one person - you are standing up for all kids who have been and are being bullied. Go out and find that one kid that you know that is being bullied, that one kid you know has a hard time making friends or the new kid that just moved towns and theyre standing by themself; be his friend, smile. Be willing to help them out when theyve been pushed down and be willing to stand up for them. If we all do it together we will change the world. It starts right here, right now!! Lets get this done. Hug them, dont punch them. Say Im here for you, not youre worthless, be a friend, not an enemy. Stand up for the silent. Be the difference, everything starts with one and builds up, and if we can continue to increase the numbers whether it be one by one, two by two. Eventually we have an army and we can defeat anything. Someday I hope we can say that bullying is just a term that we used to know. EQUALITY!
