You may not believe these proposals will affect you. It is not just residents in Farnley Tyas whom are impacted by the proposed turbines. If you live in Almondbury or on the side of Castle Hill with views across the valley, most properties will be no more than 1 km from the turbine off Field Lane the top of which will be approximately 45 metres above the tree line as you look towards Farnley Tyas. The second turbine is only 2.7 km from Castle Hill, with the ground level at the proposed site only 20m lower than the top of Castle Hill you will again see the 60m high wind turbine. If you enjoy views of Castle Hill and the countryside around the Honley Showground site from Lepton, Highburton, Kirkburton, Shelley and Shepley you live within 2 to 3 km of the turbines. The proposed turbines are twice as high as Victoria Tower on Castle Hill and you will easily see the turbines dwarfing the 32m high tower. If you live in Thurstonland and Stocksmoor you could be within 500m but no more than 1 to 1.5km away from the turbine off Thurstonland Road .
