You need to read this. Landmark held the original mortgages and then got nervous with the Global Economic Crisis, so they offload the loans to the ANZ. The ANZ then CHANGE THE TERMS OF THE LOANS, and the farmers are told to sign the new contracts, or be defaulted!! It doesnt seem to matter to the banks that the farmers were meeting their original obligations, they just change the rules as they go along. It puts the farmers in an impossible situation. It may be legal but it is so unethical. To top it all of, the banks then sell the farms off to foreign ownership. Wake up, Australia!
