You want to hear the bitter truth about Pakistan on the eve of our Independence Day? Hear it. Sixty six years into independence, this country has become a guillotine for human beings. People are being hanged here. By their fellow countrymen. So that they could sell their corpses and buy their own happiness. This is what is the true manifestation of our reality. This country, that was earned in the name of Islamic principles of equality and justice for its people, has become a graveyard of humanity. With the exception that people are thrown alive in the death holes here and not buried in tombs with a coffin. Label me a pessimist and I will pass with a smile. Call me a traitor and I will proudly own the title. I would happily be a brave rebel to accept that there is something terribly wrong with my country, to stand up and fight to correct it, rather than being a coward conformist, to shout slogans of Long Live Pakistan and assume that it would live long with that.
