“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.” Jeremiah 29:13-14 I was going to do another devotional on Jeremiah 29:11, but something said what go down a little farther. This is what you need to write about. There are times when we all feel as if we have been exiled. For me the exile was while in North Carolina for 5 years, being away from everything and everyone I knew. However, when thinking back to the time before the “exile” I realize how much I have changed in those 5 years. Change for the better. We are never meant to stay the same. None of us likes change and to be honest the move back to Indiana has been the hardest of my life. The funny thing is the place that was the comfort zone is no longer the comfort zone. To be honest, not entirely sure where it will be but it is a crazy mess trying to get accustomed to be uncomfortable constantly. God doesn’t call us to be comfortable, He calls us to go out and share the Gospel, showing others peace, mercy, love, and the list can go one and on. I am looking forward to the day when I can say, I know longer know what comfortable is because then I will truly know what it means to follow Jesus. My comfort rests in Him alone. Take rest in the one who can give you the only real rest you will ever find, when you seek Him with all of your heart. Lord, There are times when we just want to be comfortable, but living in the uncomfortable makes us more aware of whom you are. Be with those who are uncomfortable in their situations. Guide them to where you need them. In Jesus Name, Amen.
