You would think by the policies they promote and the candidates they support that Progressives would have a better sense of humor. Rodeo Clowns have been making fun of Presidents for decades. By now, everyone has seen the incident in a Philadelphia Rodeo in 1994, where a rodeo clown used a dummy with a George H.W. Bush mask to taunt a bull which subsequently impaled the dummy and sent the mask flying. No one was fired. Now, the screaming has begun from the progressive lynch mob over a Rodeo Clown in Missouri doing the same thing wearing an Obama Mask. These incidents may be in bad taste but it is what freedom entails. He is a rodeo clown. A C-L-O-W-N. The right to criticize our government; the right to do and say dumb things are part of the individual freedoms preserved by our constitution and endowed by our creator. Benjamin Franklin once said, “Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech.” George Washington once wrote, “If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” There was no clamor from progressives to fire anyone when a George W Bush mask appeared on an impaled head clearly shown in a scene from the Game of Thrones on HBO. There are far more important issues out there: The Obamacare train wreck, a resurgent al-Qaida threat, increased global instability, the rising threat of Islamic extremism, the birth of a nuclear Iran, a jobless recovery, 47 million Americans living in poverty, only 47% of Americans employed have full-time jobs, the transition to part-time employment, a $16.7 TRILLION deficit, the worst recovery in U.S. history, Bill Maher, Al Sharpton and Chris Matthews all get paid to be on television, people actually watch “The View”… Does the rodeo clown incident really deserve this much attention? Probably not. It probably would have been enough to just paint Obamacare on the side of any bull or perhaps, post an Obamacare sign on a steamy pile of the bull’s discarded breakfast… but then again, that would be less like satire and more like the truth… And believe me, after seeing your new health insurance premiums, there is nothing funny about that. The problem is you can’t saddle up a Bait and Switch. The truth is, progressives and the mainstream media would much rather focus on anything but the dismal record or the “phony” scandals of this administration. They will utilize any incident to solicit sympathy for this administration and to distract from its failed policies. And their personal invective is not enough. Someone always has to lose their jobs (unless they are fellow progressives, of course, or a government worker or you are violating people’s constitutional rights in the name of government). That is an essential part of the progressive code of intolerance. This should come as no surprise… After all, they champion an administration that is particularly good at losing jobs. But please don’t say anything about that or Harry Reid will call you a racist. Don’t you know the issue of what a Rodeo clown did far exceeds anything else out there?
