Your Face Global Jam ( yourfaceglobaljam ) invites animators from around the world to each take a few seconds of Bill Plymptons Oscar Nominated Short, Your Face, and reanimate it through their own style and media. Within that project, Im doing a flicker frame sequence. The movement of the sequence is defined by a series of templates. Each artist is given a template, a key for how to use that template, and a week to turn that template into a portrait of their own character. As long as the artists follow the guidelines provided, the animation will carry through these varied characters. The resulting animation will be shown at festivals around the world and artists will receive an IMDB credit for 1/24th of a second of screentime. Were in the final leg of this sequence and only hand a handful of templates left to reassign.
