Dear Sir There is no response to our complaints with regard to encroachments. Enroachments on foothpath roads of West Anand is increasing day by day. The deparment is just keeping a blind eye to the encroachments. Thanks for your response and Stating that encroachments will be removed. We once again draw your attention that encroachments in West Anand Bagh is increasing day by day. Hawkers have started occupying footh paths and even roads leaving the helpless old and school children to walk in center of the road.. Encroachments are mainly near (1), Venkateshwara Temple, (2). Day by day encroachments in West Anand Bagh is increasing. Now please let us know as to why these hawkers are not removed. You are therefore urged to personally look into the matter and take urgent steps to remove all encroachments Thanking you in anticipation of a decent and disciplinary action towards this movement at the earliest. ================================================================================ Previous complaint letter 2013-08-W040967 Anand Bagh is one of the oldest residential colony in Safilguda, Malkajgiri inhabituated pre dominantly by lower and upper middle class families and well educated persons , employed in central/state governments, public and private sector under takings a few of the individual houses have, over the years, been converted into apartments. Around 3000 residents reside in the colony. Anand Bagh, once considered as a haven and peaceful abode , has became a nightmare with flurry of commercial activities (authorized and unauthorized) threatening the very existing of lawful and law abiding residents. The existing legality, sanctity and desirability of having commercial establishments in the roads and plots meant for residential purpose and amidst residential houses needs close scrutiny . Main road of West Anand Bagh from Venkateshwara Temple to railway gate is completely encroached and blocked by illegal hawkers. Few Shopkeepers have let out the road for rent. The encroachments on footpaths had forced our families and resident of West Anand Bagh to use the road while risking our lives and it is becoming difficult during the peak hours in the evening for pedestrians specially Senior Citizen-Office goers to walk through the road . Besides that, the illegal stalls have eaten up the footpath. “The situation is terrible. There is no place to walk on the footpath. People have to walk on the road. The encroachment of roads by reheris,hawkers, shops etc are also responsible for traffic jams. The administrations apathy is responsible for the extra time each person in this city spends on commuting. 1.Security Threat:- A shop is located in the 25’ street no 1. Two wheelers & four wheelers are parked blocking the road fully. Since no security check is conducted score of lives are at risk. The vehicles block the road preventing moment of other residents who can not come out or take out vehicles from their houses leave alone entry/exit of ambulances /vehicles in case of emergency . 2.Health Hazard : The Shops not only do business in preparation and sales of sweets and kara items in the premises but also is a Tiffin centre preparing Idli, Wada, Dosa etc in the open place in unhygienic conditions . The customers eat, throw the oily, sticky, leftover food and disposable plates, on the road itself or in the compounds of the adjacent houses. The maida , oily substances and other wheat materials block the drainages and overflow onto other roads in the colony causing foul and stinking smell and is splashed on the pedestrians when any vehicle passes by . Further there are tea stalls ,pani puri shops, bananas, bangles shopd etc. who throw away the left over on the road.At least twice a week sanitary workers come and either pump out the filth or clear manually and leave it along side manholes causing health hazard to all residents. 3.Environmental pollution : During day and night grinding machine, mixies and other gadgets for preparation of eatables are operated causing disturbance to the residents who cannot sleep. Big stove is used on the road to prepare tiffin items . The oil fumes and smoke enter the adjacent houses creating breathing problems. At late hours , some customers consume liquor and create nuisance and urinate on the walls. 4.Representation were made to concerned authorities on few occasions by the residents and the Association. 5.Residents would like to know as to why the GHMC is allowing such shops to operate . You are therefore urged to personally look into the matter and take urgent steps to remove all encroachments Thanking you in anticipation of a decent and disciplinary action towards this movement at the earliest.
