Your URGENT Action Needed NOW—Restore Grady Funding! Funding cuts to Grady Hospital are once again being proposed, this time in Fulton County’s 2014 budget. Fulton County is proposing to cut its contribution to Grady next year in half—equals a loss of $25 million. Grady may need to close its outpatient mental health program, shutter neighborhood primary clinics, limit access to specialty care clinics, increase co-pays, or reduce teaching opportunities. As providers in the safety net, we know first-hand how detrimental this would be to the patients we serve and care we provide. Grady is asking that people call the Fulton County Commission today, letting them know that Atlanta Cant Live Without Grady. Call (404) 612-8200 until 5:00pm. They are also using social media to show the support by using #call4grady. Be a citizen, not a spectator! Call the Fulton County Commission at (404) 612-8200 and tell them Atlanta Cant Live Without Grady. Cathryn Marchman, Mercy Care Legal, Policy and Compliance Officer
