Your feelings are your signal telling you about your thoughts. When you feel just a little discomfort take a moment and acknowledge the fact you are thinking negative thoughts of some sort. What are these negative thoughts causing your discomfort? Now is the time to first detach yourself from these thoughts - this removes your beliefs of these thoughts. You can do this by just observing them, acknowledging their presence, letting them be and gently saying to yourself Thats interesting but thats not entirely true... Wow that is quite the imagination that I have... etc... At this point you can interject some balanced Optimistic outlooks and over time your negative thoughts will not surface as much; if ever. If they do just let them be - do not fight with them - watch them and let them go. Doing this regularly will help retrain your brain to think differently. When you think better you will feel better.
