Your views St John to the rescue I ldliktthkthtStJh I would like to thank the two St John Ambulance medics – Chris and Dave – who were in attendance at the GoSport Water Festival in Clarence Marina in Gosport on Sunday, June 9, who tended to me when I became ill. I was feeling a bit dizzy and I asked them to check me over. They did a great job of cooling me down and giving me water, oxygen and checking my blood pressure and stats. They were worried about me getting home and didn’t want me to leave but after about an hour I was feeling better but they still called the out-of- hours doctor to visit me at home to make sure I was OK. These part-time volunteers do a fantastic job at these events and usually don’t get any publicity or thanks for their good work. So thanks again Chris and Dave. Gordon Brown Harbour Tower, Gosport
